    In collaboration with the Center for Social Justice and the Georgetown Ministry Center, JUPS seniors Eliza McCurdy and Carlo Izzo created their Hypothermia Outreach infographic for JUPS 299: Research Methods in Justice and Peace to tell the story of the founding of the Georgetown Ministry Center and the dangers that winter weather poses for individuals experiencing homelessness. As part of their infographic, they built an interactive map of the District's year-round, seasonal, and alert night shelters that can be used by service providers and individuals seeking a safe place to spend the night.

  • Alumni Spotlight: Thomas Scharff

    Thomas Scharff graduated from the Georgetown College in May 2012 with a JUPS minor and a Goverment major. After graduating, Thomas served for two years as a volunteer in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps International program in Tacna, Peru from 2012-2014. He currently works at the University Antonia Ruiz de Montoya, the one Jesuit university in Peru, as a coordinator and teacher at the English center.
