Justice and Peace Studies Professor Kimberly Huisman Publishes New Book

Professor Kimberly Huisman, who is teaching Dialogue in Polarized America this semester, has published a new book entitled Fostering Belonging and Equity in the Classroom and on Campus. The book explores how diverse dimensions of identity—such as race, class, gender, disability, religion, and immigration status—shape experiences of belonging in colleges and universities. The book features work of 11 Georgetown faculty and staff, including David Ebenbach, MC Chan, Jennifer A. Fox, Manus M. Patten, Dail Chapman, Alexandria L. DeCandia, Jeanetta Floyd, Dylan Audette, Molly Chehak, and Michelle Ohnona. Huisman views this as a wonderful reflection of the work happening across the university around belonging and inclusion.
