JUPS seniors Eliza McCurdy and Carlo Izzo create interactive map of the District's shelters
In collaboration with the Center for Social Justice and the Georgetown Ministry Center, JUPS seniors Eliza McCurdy and Carlo Izzo created their Hypothermia Outreach infographic for JUPS 299: Research Methods in Justice and Peace to tell the story of the founding of the Georgetown Ministry Center and the dangers that winter weather poses for individuals experiencing homelessness.
As part of their infographic, they built an interactive map of the District’s year-round, seasonal, and alert night shelters that can be used by service providers and individuals seeking a safe place to spend the night. Take a look at it here!
