JUPS Professor Dr. Helal Khan at the 63rd Annual NAIMUN Conference

Dr. Helal Khan, a JUPS faculty member, participated in the 63rd annual North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN) in February 2026. Hosted by the Georgetown International Relations Association at the Washington Hilton, the conference featured Khan as an invited speaker. As one of the oldest and most prestigious Model UN conferences, NAIMUN brings together over 3,300 high school delegates from around the world. Khan spoke about Myanmar’s political transition and the role of journalism in shaping public discourse, accountability, and reform.
